Influenced by Bruce Springsteen writing about his hometown in New Jersey, Mark Knopfler writing about his hometown of Newcastle, and Runrig writing about their Island life in Scotland, Liam Ross wanted to put his little corner of the world on the musical map and write about his hometown as well as abandoned locations in the Scottish Highlands.

Liam Ross's goal with his debut album was take solo acoustic guitar music in a new direction inspired by his surroundings and the abandoned buildings ranging from family homes to the longest reverb in the world in the Inchindown Oil Tanks. The album is also a tribute to his hometown of Invergordon and features everyday locals speaking about the town’s rich history and their present opinions of the town. The locals blend in and out of the music and go side by side with some of the more ambient aspects of the album. Liam looks to bring acoustic guitar music into a new realm with a wide range of influences and listeners will hear elements from John Martyn to PJ Harvey to Fleetwood Mac to Rush and Folk music within the work.

CD comes in a gatefold case with additional artwork inside, back and compact disc.

The voices you hear are all locals and are Fiona Ross, Callum Ross, Harry Stoltman and Dagger Gordon. My thanks goes to you all.

Thanks to my fingers for still working and still keeping up.

Thank you to Rush, Tommy Emmanuel, PJ Harvey and David Byrne for creating the music that inspired me to make this album.

Thank you to the kind people who helped me access and experience the longest echo in the world at the Inchindown Oil Tanks.

And my thanks goes to you. Playing music and making others happy is the dream of my life. I promise you that I will give you everything I can in my music and live concerts. I hope to continue for as long as I possibly can, I hope these songs mean something and I hope to see you out there on the journey.

May Love Last is for Harry & Abby.
